You could view Michelangelo’s stunning frescoes on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, sure. Or, you could see replicas of those works of art at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas.
Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition makes its first stop in the United States in Dallas on Sept. 30, the opening day of the State Fair. The exhibit will run through October 23, the end of the Fair; however, it may be extended on through December.
Admission is in addition to the State Fair admission, and is $8 per adult. General Admission to the exhibition is $8; children 6 and under are admitted for free. Cheaper than the airfare to Rome.
VIP tickets are $35 and include a guided audio tour from 7-9 p.m., champagne and access to the balcony for fireworks viewing,
